At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over western Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Saturday departing ridge located east of the
Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:56 AM NDT 14 March 2025 A trough of low pressure currently over Labrador will move eastwardtoday and cross Newfoundland waters tonight and by Saturday morning
will lie east of Belle Isle Bank. Gale to storm force northwesterlies
will develop over northern waters in the wake of this trough.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for Funk Island Bank and
Northern Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf waters, East Coast - north of Cape St. Francis,
Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and Northern
Grand Banks.
