Issued 10:00 AM NST 12 February 2026 Today Tonight and Friday At 10:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 982 mb located southeast of
Cape Breton Island.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Friday low 980 mb located over Belle Isle Bank.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today ridge located northeast of the Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today departing ridge located east of the Marine
District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:54 AM NST 12 February 2026 A low pressure system southeast of Cape Breton will track northward
today and cross Newfoundland to lie over the Northeast Coast by
tonight. Strong to gale force northeasterly to southeasterly winds
will spread over most waters ahead of the low today, then shift to
strong to gale force northwesterlies to southwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Northeast Gulf and Northeast Coast.
