By 8:00 p.m. NST Saturday ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Grand Banks.
At 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday approaching trough located over Quebec.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 7:52 PM NST 21 February 2020 A low pressure system over Belle Isle Bank will weaken into a trough
tonight as it exits out to the east. Gale force west to
northwesterlies will diminish over northeastern waters tonight.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
East Coast - north of Cape St. Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle
Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Strait of Belle Isle and the Grand
