Technical Marine SynopsisIssued 8:00 PM NST 13 December 2017 Tonight and Thursday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight intensifying low 968 mb located north of
the Gaspe Peninsula.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Thursday low 959 mb located over northern Labrador.
At 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday approaching low 994 mb located southwest
of the Marine District.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 7:56 PM NST 13 December 2017 An intensifying low pressure system north of the Gaspé Peninsula will
move to lie over Northern Labrador by Thursday evening. Gale force
southeasterlies over all waters ahead of the low's cold front shift
to gale force southwesterlies over most waters in its wake.
On Thursday, a second low approaching from the southwest will track
over the South Coast of Newfoundland in the evening. Gale to storm
force southerlies are expected ahead of this feature.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Coast and East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.
