Issued 3:00 AM NST 18 February 2026 Today Tonight and Thursday At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 967 mb located over the southern
Grand Banks.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday low 965 mb located east of Funk Island
Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:52 AM NST 18 February 2026 An intense low pressure system over the Southern Grand Banks will
continue tracking northeast before lying east of Funk Island Bank
overnight tonight. Gale to storm force southerlies to northeasterlies
ahead of the low will shift to gale to storm force westerlies to
northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, Funk Island Bank and the
Southern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except Strait of Belle Isle - western half, Gulf waters, and
Southwest Coast - west of Ramea.
