Issued 3:30 PM NDT 11 April 2026 Tonight and Sunday At 3:30 p.m. NDT today deepening low 1008 mb located over the Gulf
of St. Lawrence.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Sunday merging low 989 mb located east of Funk
Island Bank.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today deepening low 1002 mb located south of the
Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Sunday merging low 989 mb located east of Funk
Island Bank.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today ridge located on a line east-west over Funk
Island Bank.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight dissipating ridge located on a line
east-west over Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:27 PM NDT 11 April 2026 A deepening low pressure system over the Gulf of St. Lawrence will
track eastward across Newfoundland tonight and Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, a second deepening low pressure system will approach from
the south and track across the Grand Banks. By Sunday afternoon, both
systems are expected to merge into an intense low pressure system
that will remain nearly stationary just east of Funk Island Bank.

Gale force northeasterlies to northwesterlies will develop in the
vicinity of the first low over the Gulf waters this evening, while
gale force southerlies to westerlies develop over the Grand Banks
with the second low. As the lows merge on Sunday, gale force
southwesterlies to northwesterlies will spread to all remaining
waters.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.
