Issued 7:56 PM NST 22 January 2026 A low pressure system over Gulf-Port au Port will trackNortheastward across Newfoundland to lie east of Funk Island Bank by
Friday afternoon. Strong to gale force southwesterlies ahead of the
low will shift to strong to gale force westerlies to northwesterlies
in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, and Belle Isle Bank.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk
Island Bank.
