Issued 8:00 PM NST 24 January 2022 Tonight and Tuesday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight low 1001 mb located south of the Burin
Peninsula.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Tuesday departing low 1002 mb located over
eastern Funk Island Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over Maine.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Tuesday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday approaching low 1006 mb located over the
Great Lakes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:50 PM NST 24 January 2022 A low pressure system south of the Burin Peninsula will cross Eastern
Newfoundland tonight before departing northeast of the marine
district on Tuesday. Strong to gale force southeasterlies will
continue over southeastern waters ahead of the low and shift to
strong northwesterlies on Tuesday in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Coast, East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, and the Grand
Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Northeast Coast.
