Issued 8:00 PM NST 6 December 2025 Tonight and Sunday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight low 961 mb located east of the Marine
District.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Sunday departing low 963 mb located east of the
Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight quasi-stationary trough from 961 mb low
located over southern Labrador Sea.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located on a line north-south over
the Maritimes.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Sunday dissipating ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:50 PM NST 6 December 2025 An intense low pressure system east of the marine district will
continue departing to the east tonight. Meanwhile, a trough extending
northwestward from the low will remain nearly stationary over the
Labrador Sea throughout the forecast period. Gale to storm force west
to northwesterlies will diminish over most waters tonight as the low
moves further away. Strong to gale force northwesterlies will persist
over northeastern waters to the south of the trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
East Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, Northern Grand Banks
and Southeastern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle and Northeast Coast.
