Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:50 AM NDT 25 March 2023 An intense low pressure system south of the Avalon Peninsula willmove to lie east of the Grand Banks tonight and continue slowly
eastward on Sunday. Gale to storm force northeasterlies to the north
of the low and gale to storm force westerlies to its south will give
way to gale to storm force northerlies in its wake. The northerlies
will gradually diminish as the low departs.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Funk Island Bank and the Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for
Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast, and Northeast Coast - Cape
St. John and south.
