At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight ridge located on a line north-south over
eastern Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:54 PM NDT 16 March 2026 A trough of low pressure over the Maritimes will track northeastwardacross Newfoundland overnight. Strong to gale force southeasterlies
ahead of the trough will shift to southwesterlies behind it.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Northeast Gulf, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
