By 3:00 a.m. NDT Sunday trough from 960 mb low located on a line
north-south over Funk Island Bank.
At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located over the Grand Banks.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight dissipating ridge located southeast of
the Grand Banks.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:44 AM NDT 22 September 2018 An intense low pressure system will cross Labrador today as an
associated trough crosses Newfoundland waters. Gale to storm force
southerlies ahead of the trough will shift to gale to storm force
west to southwesterlies behind it.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, the Gulf waters, East Coast - north of Cape St.
Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island Bank.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except
Southeastern Grand Banks.
