Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:53 PM NST 9 February 2026 A trough of low pressure over Funk Island Bank extending to the SouthCoast of Newfoundland will continue to move southward over the
forecast period to lie on a line north-south east of the Grand Banks
by Tuesday evening. Strong to gale force northeasterlies are expected
to the north of the trough.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, East Coast, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank,
Funk Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks.
