Laurentian Fan.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Saturday departing low 979 mb located east of
the Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today trough from 989 mb low located on a line
northeast-southwest over the southern Grand Banks.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday departing trough from low located east
of the Grand Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 985 mb located east of Belle Isle Bank.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today quasi-stationary trough located on a line
northwest-southeast over Labrador Sea.

At 10:00 a.m. NST Saturday approaching low 986 mb located over
central Quebec.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:53 AM NST 19 January 2018 A trough of low pressure ahead of an approaching low pressure system
south of the Laurentian Fan will cross the Grand Banks today. The low
will track northeastward across the Southern Grand Banks this
evening. Strong to gale force southwesterlies to the south of the
trough shift to strong northeasterlies to its north. Winds will shift
to gale force northerlies as the low moves across the district, then
diminish overnight as it departs.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, East Coast, Northeast Coast, Belle
Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
