Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:00 AM NDT 25 October 2021 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today low 988 mb located over Funk Island Bank.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight departing low 973 mb located east of the
Marine District.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary trough located southwest
of Greenland.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday approaching ridge located over the
Maritimes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:55 AM NDT 25 October 2021 A low pressure system over Funk Island Bank will move to lie east of
the marine district this afternoon. Strong to gale force
southwesterlies can be expected ahead of the low with gale force
northerlies to westerlies in its wake.

These gales will diminish for most waters by this evening as the low
moves away, though strong to gale force northwesterlies will persist
over northern waters until Tuesday morning between a trough southwest
of Greenland and an approaching ridge over the Maritimes.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Northeast Gulf and Gulf - Port au Port.
