By 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday low 960 mb located north of Labrador Sea.
At 3:30 p.m. NST today building ridge located south of the
Maritimes.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday ridge located over the southern Grand
Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:59 AM NST 21 January 2025 An intense low pressure system over the South Labrador Sea will tracknorthward to lie north of the Labrador Sea this evening. Gale force
westerlies will persist until Wednesday evening under the influence
of the low. Storm force westerlies can be expected over Belle Isle
Bank this morning.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Southern Grand Banks.
