By 3:30 p.m. NST Friday low 960 mb located over Labrador Coast.
At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located from the Torngat Mountains
to Funk Island Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday departing ridge located east of the Marine
District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:55 PM NST 5 December 2024 A rapidly intensifying low pressure system over Northeastern NewBrunswick will track northeastward tonight to lie over the Mid
Labrador Coast by Friday evening. Gale to storm force southeasterlies
will spread across all waters tonight ahead of the low. Winds will
shift to strong to gale force southwesterlies on Friday in the wake
of the low.
Marine interests are advised storm warnings are in effect for all
waters.
