Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:51 AM NST 27 January 2023 A trough associated with an intense low pressure system over Labrador
Sea will continue eastwards across the marine district today. Gale to
storm force southerlies ahead of the trough will shift to strong to
gale force southwesterlies in its wake. Winds will ease tonight as a
ridge of high pressure builds in from the west.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle
Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
