Labrador Sea.
At 3:00 a.m. NDT today trough located from Banquereau to Funk
Island Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday departing trough located east of the
Marine District.
At 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday approaching low 1004 mb located over
New Brunswick.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:57 AM NDT 24 March 2025 A low pressure system over the Eastern Labrador Sea will continue tomove northward today. Gale force westerlies over northern waters will
diminish this morning as the low moves away.
A trough of low pressure extending from Banquereau to Funk Island
Bank will slowly track eastward across the southern waters today.
Strong to gale force west to northwesterlies south and west of the
trough will diminish to light to moderate southerly winds tonight.
Another low pressure system will approach the Maritimes tonight and
track northeastward across Newfoundland on Tuesday. Strong to gale
south to southwesterlies will develop ahead of the low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters and Northeast Coast.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle
Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
