Issued 2:39 AM ADT 30 April 2025 A low pressure system over Eastern Quebec will track east today tolie near Anticosti Island by this afternoon and over Northern
Newfoundland by Thursday afternoon. Strong to gale force
southwesterlies ahead of the low shift to strong to storm force
northwesterlies behind it. Winds will gradually diminish on Thursday
as high pressure builds in.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the northeastern half of Gulf-Magdalen and southwestern half of
Anticosti. Gale warnings are in effect for Banquereau, northeastern
half of Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, southwestern half of
Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou and northeastern half of Anticosti.
