Issued 10:00 AM AST 22 November 2017 Today Tonight and Thursday At 10:00 a.m. AST today trough located from New England to Cape
Hatteras.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight trough located from Anticosti Island to
Georges Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight low 999 mb located southwest of Georges
Bank.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Thursday intensifying low 980 mb located over
Cabot Strait.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:55 AM AST 22 November 2017 A trough of low pressure west of the region will spawn a low centre
southwest of Georges Bank this evening. This low will intensify as it
tracks northeastward across the marine district overnight tonight to
lie over Cabot Strait Thursday morning. Gale to storm force
southerlies ahead of this trough will shift to strong to gale force
northwesterlies behind it. These northwesterlies could reach storm
force over Gulf waters and Cabot Strait on Thursday.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian
Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau - northwestern half and Cabot Strait.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except Fundy and
Grand Manan.
