Issued 3:00 AM ADT 16 October 2018 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 3:00 a.m. ADT today intensifying low 990 mb located near the
St. Lawrence River.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight intensifying low 966 mb located over
southeastern Labrador.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Gaspe Peninsula.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Wednesday trough located on a line north-south
over Nova Scotia.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT Wednesday ridge located over New Brunswick.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT Wednesday departing ridge located over the eastern
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:43 AM ADT 16 October 2018 An intensifying low pressure system will approach the Maritimes from
Quebec and will track over the Northern Gulf of St. Lawrence today
and toward the Southern Labrador Sea by this evening. Gale to storm
force southerly winds ahead of this system will shift to gale to
storm force westerlies in its wake.

On Wednesday a trough will move over the marine district from the
west. This will give strong to gale force westerlies to southern
waters.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
eastern shore - eastern half, Sable - eastern half, Fourchu,
Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Gulf - Magdalen, and
Anticosti - southern half. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters.
