Labrador.

At 3:00 a.m. AST today ridge located over western Quebec.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Nova Scotia.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Tuesday low 996 mb located near the Great Lakes.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Tuesday low 995 mb located over southern Quebec.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:52 AM AST 22 January 2018 Strong to gale force west to northwesterly winds in the wake of a low
pressure system east of Labrador will gradually diminish today as the
low pulls further away and a ridge of high pressure builds in from
the west.

A second low pressure system near the Great Lakes Tuesday morning
will track eastward towards the region. Strong to gale force winds
will spread across the district ahead of this system.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern shore,
LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope, northern half of Banquereau, Cabot
Strait and all Gulf of St Lawrence waters.

Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Fourchu, northern half of
Banquereau and all Gulf of St Lawrence waters.
