Issued 10:00 AM ADT 17 April 2024 Today Tonight and Thursday At 10:00 a.m. ADT today ridge located over Quebec.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT Thursday ridge located over the Maritimes.

At 10:00 a.m. ADT Thursday low 998 mb located over the eastern
Grand Banks.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Thursday low 994 mb located over the Avalon
Peninsula.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:21 AM ADT 17 April 2024 A deepening low pressure system east of Newfoundland will bring
strong to possibly gale force northerly winds to eastern waters on
Thursday.

Outlook for the start-up of the eastern shore lobster fishery.

Thursday..Winds northerly 15 to 20 knots increasing to 20 to 25 in
the afternoon. Sea state 1 to 2 metres.

Friday..Northwesterly 20 to 25 knots diminishing to 15 in the morning
and to light later in the day. Sea state 1 to 2 metres diminishing to
1 or less.

Saturday..Southerly 10 to 15 increasing to 20 in the afternoon.
Seas 1 to 2 metres.
