Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:00 AM ADT 22 April 2024 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 3:00 a.m. ADT today deepening low 1000 mb located north of the
Gaspe Peninsula.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight trough located over eastern Anticosti
Island.

At 3:00 a.m. ADT Tuesday ridge located on a line east-west over
Nova Scotia.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Tuesday departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. ADT Tuesday approaching warm front from low located
south of the Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:44 AM ADT 22 April 2024 A low pressure system over Eastern Quebec will intensify as it moves
northeast to Labrador by this evening. Strong to gale force
westerlies will develop southwest of the low today over northern
waters. A second low approaching from the southwest will give strong
to possibly gale force northeasterlies over slope waters late on
Tuesday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Chaleur - Miscou, Gulf - Magdalen - northern half and Anticosti.

Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Chaleur - Miscou - eastern
half, Gulf - Magdalen - northern half and Anticosti.
