Issued 3:00 AM AST 17 February 2019 Today Tonight and Monday At 3:00 a.m. AST today departing trough located east of the Marine
District.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Monday low 1007 mb located southwest of Georges
Bank.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Monday low 998 mb located south of East Scotian
Slope.

At 3:30 p.m. AST today ridge located over the western Marine
District.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Monday weakening ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the central Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:36 AM AST 17 February 2019 In the wake of a trough of low pressure east of the district and
ahead of an approaching ridge of high pressure, northern waters will
see falling temperatures and strong to gale force northwest winds
today and Monday.

Another low is expected to pass south of the region later in the day
Monday with strong to possibly gale force northeasterly winds
spreading across the slope waters.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen-northeastern half and Anticosti.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for eastern shore-eastern half, Fourchu, Banquereau-northern
half, Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen-northeastern half and Anticosti.
