Technical Marine Synopsis
Issued 3:00 AM AST 28 February 2021 Today Tonight and Monday At 3:00 a.m. AST today low 1002 mb located north of Prince EdwardIsland.
By 3:30 p.m. AST today departing low 995 mb located north of
Banquereau.
At 10:00 a.m. AST Monday deepening low 1000 mb located over the
Gulf of Maine.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Monday low 985 mb located near Prince Edward
Island.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:23 AM AST 28 February 2021 A low pressure system near Port aux Basques will move to lienortheast of Banquereau this afternoon. Strong to gale force
southerly winds ahead of the low will shift to strong to gale force
northwesterlies in its wake. Another low pressure system will
develop over the Gulf of Maine Monday morning and will move to lie
near Prince Edward Island by Monday evening. Strong to gale force
southeasterlies developing ahead of this second low will shift to
strong to gale force northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
maritime waters except for Northumberland Strait - western half and
Chaleur-Miscou.
