Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM ADT 25 August 2019 Tonight and Monday At 3:30 p.m. ADT today high 1029 mb located over the Maritimes.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT Monday high 1029 mb located southeast of
Newfoundland.

At 3:30 p.m. ADT today low 1014 mb located south of West Scotian
Slope.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Monday deepening low 1008 mb located over East
Scotian Slope.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:01 PM ADT 25 August 2019 A low pressure system south of the slope waters will begin to
intesify and move slowly northward and will lie over East Scotian
Slope late Monday afternoon. Moderate to strong east to
northeasterlies will persist over southern waters today, then
intensify to become strong to gale force easterlies on Monday as the
low approaches. There is some uncertainty in the track and intensity
of this system. It is possible for gales to be issued for marine
areas north and west.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Fourchu, Sable, East Scotian
Slope,
Banquereau - southern half and Laurentian Fan.
