Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:00 AM AST 6 December 2023 Today Tonight and Thursday At 3:00 a.m. AST today quasi-stationary high 1025 mb located
over Quebec.

At 3:30 p.m. AST today intensifying low 995 mb located southwest
of the Marine District.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Thursday low 984 mb located south of Laurentian
Fan.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:54 AM AST 6 December 2023 A cold northwest flow will persist over northern areas until this
afternoon when temperatures increase.

A low pressure system will track south of the slope waters this
evening and intensify south of the Grand Banks by Thursday morning.
Strong to gale force northerlies are expected for the southeastern
slope waters.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
East Scotian Slope - southern half and Laurentian Fan - southern
half.

Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Anticosti.
