Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM ADT 4 September 2026 Tonight and Saturday At 3:30 p.m. ADT today low 1004 mb located over Southwestern Shore.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Saturday intensifying low 998 mb located over
Eastern Shore.

At 8:00 p.m. ADT Saturday quasi-stationary low 996 mb located over
southern Banquereau.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:14 PM ADT 4 September 2026 A low pressure system over southwestern shore continues to intensify
and move slowly eastward today. Overnight this low is expected to lie
over eastern shore. The low will then stall over Southern Banquereau
Saturday evening.

Winds will increase to strong to gale force easterlies or
northeasterlies over northern and eastern marine areas. Over western
waters, winds will increase to strong northerlies on Saturday in the
wake of the low.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope - western half, Fourchu,
Banquereau, Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait and Gulf-Magdalen.
