Scotian Slope.
At 10:00 a.m. AST Saturday low 997 mb located over Ontario.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday approaching low 987 mb located northwest
of the Maritimes.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:29 AM AST 6 March 2026 A low pressure system will slowly approach southwestern waters todaypassing south of Georges Bank this evening before dissipating on
Saturday. Winds will increase to strong to gale force easterlies just
north of the low then diminish on Saturday.
On Saturday another low will approach the Maritimes from the west.
Strong to gale force southerly winds are forecast to develop late in
the day over northern waters.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, Gulf-Magdalen - northeastern half
and Anticosti - southeastern half.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Cabot Strait - northern half, Gulf-Magdalen - northeastern
half and Anticosti - southeastern half.
