Marine Weather StatementIssued 7:56 PM AST 16 November 2018 An intensifying low pressure system over Nova Scotia will move
east-northeastward tonight to lie over Southeastern Newfoundland
Saturday morning. Gale force southeasterlies are expected ahead and
south of the low, while strong to gale force northeasterlies are
expected north of it. Winds will then switch to strong to gale force
westerlies behind this system except over southern and eastern waters
where gale to storm force westerlies are expected.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
East Scotian Slope, Banquereau and Laurentian Fan. Gale warnings are
in effect for all remaining waters except Fundy, Grand Manan,
Chaleur-Miscou, and Anticosti.
