By 3:30 p.m. ADT Tuesday trough located from Newfoundland to East
Scotian Slope.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:44 AM ADT 24 March 2025 A trough of low pressure over Newfoundland will continue eastwarddeparting the region this morning. Strong to gale force northwesterly
winds over eastern waters will diminish through the day. A second
trough of low pressure will approach the marine district later today.
Strong to gale force southerlies will develop ahead of this feature
over southern waters tonight before weakening in its wake on Tuesday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Fundy, Cabot Strait - northern half and all Gulf of St.
Lawrence waters. Marine interests are also advised a freezing spray
warning is in effect for Anticosti.
