Marine Weather StatementIssued 4:22 PM AST 3 December 2022 A trough of low pressure will track across the region tonight to lie
over eastern waters late in the day Sunday. Strong to gale force
southerly winds over northern and eastern waters will spread across
the region by Sunday morning. In the wake of this trough, strong to
gale force westerly winds will begin to diminish late in the day
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Laurentian Fan.
Outlook for the start of the Southwest Nova lobster fishery, lfa34.
Sunday...Winds northwest 25 diminishing to northwest 15 in the
evening and light overnight. Seas 3 to 4 metres becoming 2 metres
late in the day and 1 metre overnight.
Monday...Winds light increasing to south 15 to 20 knots in the early
afternoon over northern areas and 10 to 15 knots over southern areas.
Seas near 1 metre.
