Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:56 AM ADT 22 September 2018 An intense low pressure system will continue to track eastward across
Labrador today while its cold front sweeps across the marine
Ahead of the cold front strong to gale force southwesterly winds will
persist into this afternoon. In its wake, winds will become
northwesterly and gradually diminish throughout the remainder of the
day; however, gale to storm force westerly winds are expected for the
Gulf of St. Lawrence waters before diminishing this evening.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Anticosti. Gale warnings are in effect for southwestern shore,
eastern shore, Sable, Fourchu, Banquereau, Cabot Strait,
Northumberland Strait, Gulf-Magdalen, and Chaleur-Miscou.
