Issued 3:00 AM NST 17 January 2022 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located west of the Grand Banks.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday ridge located east of the Marine District.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 984 mb located southwest of
New England.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday low 978 mb located over the St. Lawrence
River.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:51 AM NST 17 January 2022 A deepening low pressure system located over the Eastern Seaboard
will pass through New England tonight as it moves to lie over
Labrador by Tuesday afternoon. Gale to storm force southeasterlies
are forecast as the low passes west of the marine district.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Gulf-Port au Port, Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast,
Northeast Coast - Cape St. John and south, Belle Isle Bank, Funk
Island Bank and Southwestern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect
for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are further advised that freezing spray warnings are
in effect for all waters except the Grand Banks. Additionally, a high
water level warning is in effect for Southwest Coast for high tide
Tuesday morning.
