Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:51 AM NDT 25 September 2022 Post tropical storm Fiona over Southeastern Labrador this morning is
forecast to track northward across the Labrador Sea tonight and
Monday. Strong to gale force southwesterlies over northern and
western waters will gradually diminish today and tonight as Fiona
departs the region.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, and Belle Isle
At 9:30 AM NDT, post-tropical storm Fiona was located near
Latitude 53.1 north and longitude 57.5 west, or about 104 nautical
miles east of Goose Bay. Maximum sustained winds were estimated
At 45 knots with a central pressure of 983 MB. Fiona was moving
northward at 10 knots.
