By 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday low 990 mb located over New Brunswick.
At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located over the Maritimes.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday ridge located from Labrador Coast to the
Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:54 AM NDT 14 October 2024 An intense area of low pressure east of Belle Isle Bank willgradually weaken and track away from the district today. Strong to
gale force west to northwesterlies will diminish today as the low
departs and a ridge moves in from the west.
A second low pressure system currently over New England is expected
to deepen and approach the Maritimes tonight. Strong to gale force
east to northeasterlies are expected to develop over northwestern
waters ahead of the low tonight into Tuesday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, Southwest Coast,
South Coast, East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, and
Southwestern Grand Banks.
