Issued 8:00 PM NST 18 January 2018 Tonight and Friday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight deepening low 998 mb located over
northwestern Funk Island Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday quasi-stationary low 988 mb located east
of Belle Isle Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight deepening low 992 mb located southwest
of Nova Scotia.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Friday low 985 mb located south of the Grand Banks.

By 3:30 p.m. NST Friday trough from 985 mb low located on a line
northeast-southwest over the southeastern Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:58 PM NST 18 January 2018 A trough of low pressure associated with a developing low pressure
system lying southwest of Nova Scotia will cross the Grand Banks
tonight and Friday morning. The low will continue eastward south of
the Grand Banks later on Friday. Over the Southern Grand Banks,
strong to gale force southwesterlies to the south of the trough shift
to strong northeasterlies to its north. Winds will shift to gale
force northerlies on Friday as the low passes by south of the
district.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Southern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Southwest Coast, South Coast, and the
Grand Banks.
