Issued 10:00 AM NDT 12 September 2026 Today Tonight and Sunday At 10:00 a.m. NDT today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over southeastern Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight departing trough located east of the
Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located over New England.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Sunday ridge located from Laurentian Fan to
Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:50 AM NDT 12 September 2026 A trough of low pressure over Southeastern Newfoundland will sweep
across the eastern marine district today before departing this
evening. Strong westerlies ahead of the trough will veer to strong to
gale force northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island
Bank.
