Issued 3:00 AM NST 11 February 2026 Today Tonight and Thursday At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 985 mb located east of Funk Island Bank.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing low 989 mb located east of Funk
Island Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight low 989 mb located south of Nova Scotia.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Thursday low 985 mb located over the Northeast
Coast of Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Maritimes.
By 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located from the Grand Banks to Belle
Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:51 AM NST 11 February 2026 A low pressure system east of Funk Island Bank will slowly drift
eastward away from the district today. Strong to gale force north to
northwesterlies over eastern waters will diminish today as the low
departs.

A second low pressure system will approach from the southwest tonight
and track across Newfoundland on Thursday. Strong to gale force
northeasterly to southeasterly winds will develop ahead of the low
tonight and Thursday, then shift to strong to gale force westerlies
to southwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast, Funk Island Bank, and the
Grand Banks.
