northwest-southeast over Funk Island Bank.
At 3:30 p.m. NST today low located over Quebec.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday low 1010 mb located over Northeast Gulf.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:22 PM NST 19 January 2022 A trough of low pressure over the Belle Isle Bank will move east of
the district tonight. Strong to gale force westerlies behind the
trough will diminish as it moves away.
On Thursday a low pressure system approaching from the west will
track over the Gulf of St. Lawrence during the morning and reach the
Belle Isle Bank by evening. Strong to gale force south to
southwesterlies will develop ahead of its track.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, and Belle Isle Bank.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, East Coast, Northeast
Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
