Issued 8:00 PM NST 5 March 2026 Tonight and Friday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight trough located east of Belle Isle Bank.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Friday trough located east of the Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight building ridge located from Quebec to
the Maritimes.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Friday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing low 956 mb located southeast
of Greenland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:23 PM NST 5 March 2026 An intensifying low pressure system east of Belle Isle Bank will
depart to the southeast of Greenland this evening. Gale to storm
force northwesterlies over northeastern waters will gradually
diminish as the low moves away and a ridge of high pressure builds
towards the district from the west.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for East Coast - north
of Cape St. Francis, Northeast Coast, Funk Island Bank, and Northern
Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Southern Grand Banks.
