northwest-southeast over Newfoundland.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 7:53 PM NST 20 February 2019 Gale to storm force northwesterlies will gradually diminish tonight
into Thursday as a ridge of high pressure builds towards the district
from the west.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, Northern Grand Banks and
Southeastern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Northeast Gulf.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Strait of Belle Isle and Northeast Coast
which are mainly ice covered.
