Issued 3:00 AM NST 16 December 2018 Today Tonight and Monday At 3:00 a.m. NST today trough located east of the Grand Banks.
By 10:00 a.m. NST today departing trough located east of the
Grand Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over Quebec.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday ridge located from the Southwest Coast of
Newfoundland to the Grand Banks.

By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday approaching low 998 mb located south of
the Maritimes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:56 AM NST 16 December 2018 A trough east of the Grand Banks will move eastward away from the
marine district this morning. Strong to near gale force west to
northwesterlies in its wake will gradually diminish today.

A low pressure system is expected to approach from the southwest on
Monday. Strong to gale force southeasterlies are expected to develop
over southern waters late in the day on Monday ahead of the low.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle.
