Issued 8:00 PM NST 21 December 2024 Tonight and Sunday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight intensifying low 976 mb located oversouthwestern Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Sunday low 974 mb located east of Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:45 PM NST 21 December 2024 A low pressure system over Southwestern Newfoundland will keepintensifying tonight as it tracks northeastward across Newfoundland.
Gale to storm force northeasterlies will persist north and west of
the low while gale to storm force southerlies will continue to its
east. Winds will shift to gale to storm force northwest to
southwesterlies in the wake of the low.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters except Southeastern Grand Banks where a gale warning is in
effect.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf waters.
