Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM NDT 19 September 2019 Tonight and Friday At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight ridge located on a line east-west over
the South Coast of Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Saturday dissipating ridge located on a line
east-west over Funk Island Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight Hurricane Humberto 960 mb located at
39.0N 58.7W.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Friday weakening Hurricane Humberto 972 mb located
at 42.8N 57.5W.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:53 PM NDT 19 September 2019 At 8.00 PM NDT, hurricane Humberto was located near latitude 39.0
north and longitude 58.7 west , about 270 nautical miles south of
Sable Island. Maximum sustained winds are estimated at 85 knots and
central pressure at 962 MB. Humberto is moving north at 15 knots.

The latest forecast track has Humberto reaching the southern edge of
Laurentian Fan late Friday as a post-tropical storm before tracking
east-northeastward through southern portions of the Southern Grand
Banks on Saturday.

Gale force southeasterlies will develop Friday afternoon over the
Southwestern Grand Banks ahead of Humberto then increase to gale to
storm force southerlies Friday evening. The Southern Grand Banks,
particularly southern areas, are expected to experience storm force
winds as Humberto passes on Saturday.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
the Southwestern Grand Banks.
