Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM NST 4 February 2023 Tonight and Sunday At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 960 mb located over southeastern
Labrador.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Sunday departing low 980 mb located southeast
of Greenland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:29 PM NST 4 February 2023 A low pressure system over Southeastern Labrador will cross Belle
Isle Bank tonight before moving east of the district on Sunday.
Gale to storm force southwesterlies ahead of the low will shift to
gale to storm force northwesterlies over most waters tonight in its
wake, with hurricane force winds expected over Belle Isle Bank.
Winds will diminish to strong westerlies through the day on Sunday as
the low moves away.

Marine interests are advised that a hurricane force wind warning is
in effect for Belle Isle Bank. Storm warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters.
