By 3:00 a.m. NDT Thursday low 984 mb located east of Labrador Sea.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT Thursday approaching low 989 mb located over
southern Quebec.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located over Quebec.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Thursday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:45 AM NDT 11 March 2026 An intense low pressure system just north of the Labrador Sea will
track southeastwards to lie east of the Labrador marine district by
overnight tonight. Strong to gale force northwesterlies will persist
over Belle Isle Bank today and tonight as a result of this low.

A second low pressure system will approach from the west tonight and
cross the Gulf of St. Lawrence on Thursday. Strong to gale force
northeasterlies to southeasterlies ahead of the low will shift to
southwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Gulf waters, Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast, Belle Isle
Bank and Northern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank and Funk
Island Bank.
