By 3:00 a.m. NDT Thursday trough located over central Labrador.
At 8:00 p.m. NDT Thursday approaching low located southwest of
the Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:07 PM NDT 23 October 2024 A trough of low pressure over Quebec will track eastward tonight andThursday. Strong to gale force southwesterly winds across western and
northern waters ahead of the trough will diminish in its wake.
A low pressure system is forecast to approach Southern Newfoundland
waters Thursday evening and track across southern waters on Friday.
Gale to possibly storm force winds are possible in the vicinity of
the low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank,
and Funk Island Bank.
